29th Chat and Eat Night - Indian Street Food

I would like to say a huge thank you to Usha and Garry of The Stag Hunt Inn for having us again after 4 years. It was a wonderful introduction into Indian Street Food.

We were welcomed with a Nimbu Pani drink (lemonade, soda water and fresh lemons and limes on arrival) and a Bhel Puri -
Vegetarian tangy crunchy sweet, chickpea, potato, puffed rice, spiced peanuts, sev, coriander and mint raita, tamarind chutney, crushed papri and pomegranate seeds.

MENU

MAINS
Deconstructed Lamb or Bombay potato samosas
The modern samosa for busy lives.

Chowpatty Beach Corn on the Cob with chilli and lime butter.

Calcutta Style Kathi Kebabs
With oven roasted tangy roast chicken or cabbage muthia in a mini paratha with salad and chutneys.

Sev Kumri
Spiced Moong dahl with lemon juice, mustard seeds and sev.

Kachumber Salad.

DESSERT
Kaluha Kulfi

I'd also like to thank my guest speaker: Brian owner of the Cornish Saffron Company and his Daughter-in-law Becca for joining us and telling us all about the labours of love that go into each little jar and for providing a prize to go to our quiz winner.
