28th (2nd Vegan) Chat and Eat night at Rooted

I would like to start by saying a huge thank you to Jade and Dan of Rooted at Good Vibes Cafe in Falmouth for an excellent evening last night, showcasing some exceptional Vegan dishes.


We were treated to
Bread and Smoked Aubergine Mush

Pea and Mint Velouté with a pea pakora

Hasselback Potatoes

Asparagus with a black olive caramel, sourdough crumb

Roasted Broccoli with Romesco, toasted almonds

Crispy Polenta with a sweetcorn puree, roasted mushrooms

Confit Fennel with a fennel-prong dressing, candied hazelnuts

To End - Bakewell with a Rhubarb sorbet.

My personal favourites were the roasted mushrooms and the confit Fennel.

Thank you also to the 19 foodies that booked and joined us last night, it is always lovely to welcome new faces and see familiar friends around the room.
And a well done to Lizzie & Tareg and Vikki, Peggy & Lizzie for winning the hard fruit and veg quiz, I hope you enjoy your coffee guides.
