41st Chat and Eat Night @ The Clover Club Newquay
I want to thank owners Charlie and Callum, their front of house staff member Sarah, and their kitchen team Head Chef Alfred, Chef Jack, Josh, and Ronnie over at The Clover Club in Newquay. Their hard work turned our evening into a culinary adventure, mixing warm hospitality with an incredible spread of dishes, each one bursting with flavour.
The standout stars of the night for me were definitely the Kissing Gate Loveday gin cocktail with raspberries, rose water and prosecco, the bread board for 2 and the sweet and smoky beef skewers – they were pure bliss on a plate. And those soft serve brownies? Absolute heaven! They had everyone in the room buzzing with joy.
It was lovely to have Daisy Hillier of Loveday Distilling as our guest speaker, whose eloquent narrative illuminated the artistry behind crafting award-winning spirits. Her tales of refining recipes and repurposing waste into gastronomic treasures, be it nourishing pigs or enriching chocolate, served as a testament to the ethos of sustainability and innovation.
It was an evening filled with great food, wonderful company, and meaningful conversations – a true testament to the magic that happens when food and friendship come together.
